Civicorps Elementary School
Who can apply?
There are no residency requirements,
so any child residing in the Bay Area may apply.
How do you apply?
Admission to our school can be competitive. To make the process as fair as possible, we accept applications up until the day preceding the application deadline. We then hold a lottery.
We will hold three lotteries for fall admission.
- The first lottery is held on the last Wednesday of February. This coming February, the first lottery will be held on Wednesday: February 27, 2008.
- The second lottery is held on the next to last Wednesday in March, which will be held on Wednesday: March 19, 2008.
- The third lottery is held on the last Wednesday of April, which will be Wednesday, April 30, 2008
Applications must be fully completed and returned to the school office by noon of the day immediately preceding the lottery. In 2008, those deadlines will be February 26, March 18, and April 29, 2008. You may mail, drop-off your application in-person, or fax it to our office. Applications received after the deadline for the April lottery will be processed on an as-received, space-available basis.

When do families learn lottery results?
Within a week of each lottery, children will be offered a space in an enrolling class or a space on the waitlist. Families must return a confirmation with two weeks of being notified.
In the month of June, successful applicants will participate in our school-wide registration week. You will be notified by mail of this registration.
